Pike County schools was founded in the mid-1900s as one of the first major public school systems in South Georgia. Today, Pike County boasts a student population of 3,500+, a graduation rate of 95%, and one of the most successful K-12 curriculums in the country. 

Today, our Primary School teaches 500-750 students in grades Kindergarten – 2nd. We have over 50 professional teachers who oversee the education of our pupils. 

Pike County’s daily operations are managed by the Superintendent, while the long-term financial and strategy related decisions are overseen by the Pike County Board of Education

Pike Primary School’s daily operations are managed by our Principals, while the individual classroom and learning environments are staffed by 50+ professional educators.

Across all schools and grades within Pike County, there is an average teacher-to-parent ratio of 1:10. However, including all faculty and administrators (in addition to teachers), the ratio is ~1:7.

Student grades and transcripts are managed through our 3rd party portal and can be accessed online at this link or through our mobile app. You must have a school-provided username and login to access this information.
